I couldn't wait on Amazon. Bought a pair from my LBS (local bike shop) for a few $$$ more. What the one photo on Amazon does not show is the RIXEN & KAUL VARIO adjustable hooks & the replaceable Rixen & Kaul FLIP-LOCK as shown on the Axiom website. (axiomgear.com)
What this means in practical terms is - once mounted on your rear rack correctly, these will not move or shift around - loaded or empty. If the bungee cord is a bit long, simply put a loop in it. And at 2 lbs. per pair, they won't excessively weigh your bike down. One thing to consider is...these are "water-resistant" not "water-proof". A light shower? Probably OK. A downpour? Get out of the rain. I'll try to post the photo I found on the Axiom website better showing the rear of the pannier & the mounting hooks.

I am very pleased with my pannier bags. I specifically wanted 2 separate bags. They install simply and are easy to take off and replace if you need to bring your bags in the market or house. Also, I am able to carry quite a large amount when I want to. I would highly recommend if you like to bike around town and purchase items.

I had been looking for a pannier that was quick release but had hardware that would secure well to a rack. This bag offers both. The brackets lock securely to the rack while offering you the possibility of removing the back quickly. The material doesn't seem as durable as other types but it does the job. I don't ever intend to ride around in the rain with it either. I would recommend getting a rain fly for the bag if extended rides or even short rides are planned in the rain. There are no shoulder straps for the bag that might have made it better carry around but overall this is a great bike pannier.
